Project Overviews:

Exploring the major concepts, models, tools and metrics used in management analytics. Data sampling and statistical inference from data, probability distributions, hypothesis tests, and regression modeling and analysis will be the specifical contents covered of the project.

Research Methodology:

  1. Identifying and critical evaluation of the appropriate modelling methods for management analytics
  2. Critical analysis of problems for which each specific management analytics techniques is applicable
  3. Demonstration of both benefits and limitations of each specific management analytics technique
  4. Application of analytics techniques to decision problems that arise in management
  5. Interpretation and analysis of data and information to solve problems and make informed decisions in management

Brief Summary of Report:

The technical report analyzed dataset comprised transaction information of purchasing patterns from 1.000 customers in Myanmar which have been collected between January 1st and March 30th, 2019. The primary objective is to get insights of consumer behavior that will be used to focus a specific decision-making challenges of the supermarket faced and to provide ultimate actionable recommendations for management team.

In the report, descriptive statistical analysis held to provide foundational understanding of dataset that have followed by regression analysis to conduct the identification of statistical significant relationships between demographics and purchasing behavior. And, the practical implications which have been translated into concrete strategies is explored to be able to use in managing of the supermarket business.
